Distillery Cabins on Raasay

Enhancing the visitor experience with luxury cabin accommodation for the Isle of Raasay whisky distillery

Set on the remote Isle of Raasay, with sweeping views across to Skye’s Cuillin mountains, Raasay Distillery wanted to expand its visitor accommodation with a collection of bespoke cabins that reflected the brand’s values of quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

A series of design-led retreats that sit lightly within the island landscape, offering guests an unforgettable place to stay while deepening their connection to the distillery and its surroundings.

Working in collaboration with our sister company S+Co and local architect Skye Designs, we developed a masterplan for the steeply sloping site that included two bespoke guest cabins, a series of private sauna cabins, and a larger communal cabin designed as a social space for whisky tastings, private dining, and gatherings.

Inspired by Scotland’s traditional bothies — the humble shelters found across the landscape - our cabin designs honour this heritage by combining cosy, homely charm with contemporary design. Each cabin s positioned to maximise privacy and outlook, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the island’s dramatic scenery, creating a retreat that feels both intimate and immersive.

Inside, warm timber tones, luxury linen sheets, soft bathrobes, and handcrafted Hebridean textiles create a sense of calm and comfort. Island-inspired artwork and subtle design touches reward the curious — while also nodding to the distillery’s whisky heritage.

Every cabin sits lightly on the land, blending sustainability, craft, and brand storytelling with functional hospitality design.

Named Na Bothain, the distillery cabins offer guests a truly Hebridean escape, where modern luxury and rustic charm meet the unspoiled landscape, providing a retreat experience as memorable as the whisky itself.

The project showcases Corr’s holistic approach — combining architectural design, interior detailing, and hospitality expertise to create accommodation that embodies the spirit of place. These cabins are more than guest rooms; they’re an immersive extension of Raasay’s brand story — where design, landscape, and whisky meet in harmony.
